Mexico's Fátima Bosch is the outgoing titleholder, having been crowned at the 74th edition. This year's competition marks a historic milestone — the first edition with no age cap, following the organisation's decision to open the competition to all women 18 and over regardless of age.
Debut countries at Miss Universe 2026 include Niger and Uganda, with Austria, Sierra Leone, and Tunisia returning after long absences. National selections are currently underway across more than 80 countries. The UK competition — Miss Universe Great Britain — takes place on 11 July 2026 in Newport, Wales.
